On Bybit Indonesia’s Spot markets, there are three types of transaction fees charged to your buy or sell order. These are the Spot trading fee, CFX fee, and Tax fee.

Below is a detailed explanation for each fee, and how you can calculate the net quantity for your Spot order.

Spot Trading Fees

Traders can be classified as market takers or market makers. For every executed order, trading fees are incurred.

  1. Market takers are traders who seek liquidity and take liquidity off the book immediately. They are charged a taker fee.
  2. Market makers, who provide liquidity and increase the market depth of the order book, are charged a maker fee.
  3. Traders can view their incurred trading fees from their trading history.

The table below shows the trading fee rates you’ll be charged when you trade Spot markets on Bybit Indonesia and is applicable to Non-VIP users. For more information on the VIP rates, please refer to the Trading Fee Structure.

Formula for Spot Trading

To calculate the total fee that will be incurred in your buy or sell order, please refer to the following formula:

All-Inclusive Trading Fee = Filled Order Quantity x (Trading Fee Rate + CFX Fee + Applicable Tax Fee)

Once you have determined the total fee amount of your order, you can calculate the net quantity of your order with the formula below:

  1. Net Quantity of the Buy/Sell Order = Filled Quantity – All-Inclusive Trading Fee

Example

Let’s suppose:

  1. Spot Trading Fee for Taker Order: 0.08%
  2. Spot Trading Fee for Maker Order: 0.0675%
  3. Last Traded Price for BTC/USDT: $40,000

For Taker Order

Trader A buys 0.5 BTC with USDT using a Market Order. He will be charged a taker fee rate as the market order will be executed immediately and take liquidity from the order book.

Total Trading Fee

0.5 x (0.0800% + 0.0200% + 0.2100%) = 0.00155 BTC

As he is buying BTC, the trading fee will be incurred in BTC and deducted from the BTC amount he will receive in his account.

Net Quantity

Once the order is executed, he will receive 0.49845 BTC (0.5 - 0.00155) in his account.

For Maker Order

Trader B sells BTC with an order value of 20,000 USDT using a Limit Order and sets the Order Price at $41,000. Once the order is submitted, it will be placed in the order book, waiting for execution. As soon as the Last Traded Price reaches $41,000, the order will be executed. As the order was placed in the order book first, Trader B will be a Market Maker and the maker fee rate will be applied to this order:

Total Trading Fee

20,000 × (0.0675% + 0.0200% + 0.2100%) = 59.5 USDT

As he is buying USDT, the trading fee will be incurred in USDT and deducted from the USDT amount he will receive in his account.

Net Quantity

Once the order is executed, he will receive 19,940.5 USDT (20,000 - 59.5) in his account.
